Advancements in open artificial intelligence applications have spotlighted a forever-emerging technological market. Those who record patents early will have a significant competitive advantage. However, there is no global patent process whereby foreign filing and patent translation processes differ from one jurisdiction to the next. What’s more, patent applications include highly technical terms and require linguists with substantial substantive knowledge. Translation frequently makes up 40% of international patent prosecution costs. This CLE will address foreign patent translation best practices and the role of technology in producing quality, cost-effective patent translations.
