Liz Elting co-founded TransPerfect in 1992. Today, TransPerfect is a global family of companies and the world’s largest privately held provider of language and business services. Elting oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, headquartered in New York City. Elting has earned numerous awards for her outstanding entrepreneurship, including Working Woman's Entrepreneurial Excellence Award for Customer Service, the Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and American Express and Entrepreneur’s Woman of the Year Award.
Under Elting’s leadership, TransPerfect has received numerous awards and distinctions. The company is a three-time honoree of the Inc. 5000 Award, a six-time honoree of the Deloitte Technology Fast 500, and has earned multiple Stevie Awards for Sales and Customer Service. Crain's New York Business has ranked TransPerfect as one of the largest privately held companies, as well as one of the largest women-owned companies, seven years in a row. TransPerfect was also three times named one of the fastest-growing women-owned/led businesses in North America by Entrepreneur and the Women Presidents' Organization.

Elting holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business and a BA in Modern Languages and Literatures from Trinity College in Hartford, CT.
Phil Shawe Co-CEO
As the Co-CEO of TransPerfect, Phil Shawe orchestrated the company's growth from a single office start-up to an industry leader. Today, Shawe continues to manage the day-to-day operations of TransPerfect. For the past three years in a row, TransPerfect has been named one of the largest privately-held companies by Crain's New York Business. The company has been featured in The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and USA Today.
Prior to his career in the language services industry, Shawe was a Financial Analyst at Chemical Bank and a Global Custody Consultant at Merrill Lynch. Shawe holds an MBA in Finance and International Business from New York University's Stern School of Business, and he received his BS from the University of Florida where he triple majored in Finance, Marketing, and Risk Management. The recipient of numerous awards, Shawe has spoken at New York University and Columbia University. The company has been featured in The New York Times, O, The Oprah Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, and USA Today. Shawe is a member of the Association for a Better New York (ABNY).
Brooke Christian Senior Vice President of Global Sales
A. Brooke Christian is Senior Vice President of Global Sales for TransPerfect, the world's largest privately-held translation firm, which operates out of 50 offices on four continents. Christian, who is based in Washington DC, joined the firm shortly after it was founded in 1992. He has directed the company’s sales and marketing initiatives through a period of unprecedented growth.
Today, he is responsible for generating revenues exceeding $200 million. Christian’s ability to accurately predict areas of global growth within specific industries has positioned him as an industry leader. He directs a 300-person sales team worldwide and is responsible for the strategic approach to marketing that has set TransPefect apart in the translation arena. Most recently, Christian has focused his efforts on emerging markets in Asia and the Middle East. Christian speaks frequently at professional associations and meetings on issues affecting global growth and solutions-based marketing strategies. He has a Master's in Sports and Business Management and a BS in Business Administration, both from the University of Florida.
Jordan Ellington VP of Legal Technology Founder of Deal Interactive Division
Jordan Ellington joined TransPerfect in April 2007 as Vice President of Legal Technology. As the founder of TransPerfect’s Deal Interactive division, Ellington brings over 20 years of application development experience designing systems for the corporate, financial and legal vertical markets. Since 1993 he has developed many internal and client-facing applications for major corporate, financial services and law firms, as well as developing the extranets of three of the top twenty U.S. law firms. In 1998, he was a recipient of the American Express Chairman's Award for Quality. In 1999, he founded Deal Interactive to service the secure document hosting and collaboration needs of global businesses, and to this day, continues to drive software development and manage the day-to-day operations of the business.
Stewart I. Edison President, TransPerfect Deposition Services
Stewart I. Edison, President of TransPerfect Deposition Services division, brings to the company significant experience in conducting and managing deposition projects for the leading multinationals and law firms. Edison and his team draw upon an extensive network of rigorously selected professionals who are located throughout the US and around the world. Prior to joining TransPerfect, Edison was General Manager of one of the nation's leading deposition service companies and oversaw all sales and operations activities. With over a decade's experience in developing systems to provide minimum markups to drive EBITDA performance, Edison has become an industry leader. Edison holds a BS degree in Environmental Science from the University of Rhode Island and an MBA in Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Eric Elting Director, Global Legal Business Development
Eric Elting is the Director of Global Legal & Patent Business Development for TransPerfect Legal Solutions. He regularly speaks on patent-filing issues at legal conferences around the world, such as the EPO Patent Information Conference, and gave a talk at the 43rd DIA Annual Meeting entitled "Strengthen and Secure your Global and Intellectual Assets." His articles have appeared in leading industry trade publications such as Executive Counsel and Patent World. Under his tutelage, TransPerfect Legal Solutions has provided services to all of the Am Law 200 and Global 100 law firms, as well as to virtually every Fortune 500 corporate legal department. He graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a BA in Communications.
Jim Iseman III Vice President, Litigation Technology Services
Jim Iseman III joined TransPerfect in the spring of 2008 and currently serves as Vice President and Director of Litigation Technology Services for TransPerfect’s Legal Solutions division. He is responsible for managing the data processing, hosted review, and general litigation support practice groups. Under his oversight, TransPerfect has established itself a global eDiscovery presence with eDiscovery and data processing centers in New York, Philadelphia, Washington DC, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
He has over 8 years of experience in eDiscovery and Litigation Technology. Prior to joining TransPerfect, Mr. Iseman managed technical discovery for complex groundwater litigation matters, including MDL 1358, In re MTBE Product Liability Litigation in which he provided technical guidance before judge Shira Scheindlin. In addition to his responsibilities in managing the eDiscovery and Litigation Technology divisions of TransPerfect, Mr. Iseman also regularly serves as a consultant and advisor on complex discovery matters.
Pro Bono
In addition to providing expertise in translating and interpreting material for pro bono cases, TLS created the industry's first program that enables law firms to earn free services for their pro bono cases—the TLS Pro Bono Program.
